Did you know that nearly 40% of couples spend 12-18 months planning their wedding, and that the average cost of a wedding day in 2016 was $36,000? (I'm a math nerd, and love statistics!)

These numbers tell me that clients are investing quite a bit of time, money, and love into making their day a beautiful celebration for themselves and their families and friends. If your wedding is anything like mine was, it will go by in the blink of an eye. You will be so caught up in dancing, laughing, hugging, and kissing, that you might miss some special moments as they happen (and you'll probably forget to eat, too)! This is why it is so important to hire a wedding photographer that you trust to catch all of those beautiful moments, big and small--so that you share your stories and relive your day for years to come.

About Katy

I grew up in a GINORMOUS family. I have 22 first cousins, six grandparents, and 30 or so aunts and uncles. Our family holidays and weddings are huge celebrations, filled with singing, dancing, amazing food, kids sleeping under tables, and lots of wine and laughter.

My husband and I have three little boys, who keep our hearts full and our feet and hands busy. We live in Dripping Springs, Texas (just west of Austin), and we enjoy traveling, cooking, swimming, singing, and playing catch together. We are addicted to holiday decorations, and often spend far too much money on sparkly odds and ends at TJMAXX.

Everyone says not to mix business with family and friends, but for me, that is precisely why I love my work. Many of my clients are friends from childhood, and others have been referred to me by family. Each year, my circle of friends grows, as I meet new clients and catch up with old friends. I love to meet clients for meals or share a glass of wine, as we talk about their plans for not only their wedding, but also their futures. I hope to develop a relationship with each new client that will last through the years, as your love and your family grow.
